01 Wasn't Commodore declared bankrupt in the USA?

Commodore was declared insolvent in 1992, after more than a decade as the global front runner in a highly competitive and dynamic market. In this sort of market it's a challenge for any company to stay ahead of customer demand and maintain a fast pace of innovation.

02 Is Commodore a Dutch, US or a Canadian company?

Commodore is an international company: we're American in the sense that we're listed on the NASDAQ, we're Dutch in the sense that the company was launched by a group of Dutch investors, in terms of employees we're multinational, with staff from all over the world (including amongst others the USA, Great Britain, Asia and Australia), and we're Canadian in the sense that Commodore originated in Canada.

03 Is the traditional image of Commodore a hindrance for the Commodore of today and tomorrow?

On the contrary: it' a great heritage. Commodore established a name for excellence and innovation; thanks to its pioneering spirit, it made gaming and entertainment accessible to a large audience around the world. That spirit, that philosophy is what we're all about. We want to go forward and make as big a difference to the media environment of the future as the original Commodore did way back in the 1980s with the C64. In that sense, the old Commodore image and spirit fits us perfectly. And to add to that: our heritage is not just C64, it is the ambitions that led to the invention of the C64.
